Role Summary
The Web Acquisition Officer will be responsible for driving merchant acquisition and transaction growth, with a focus on online and web payment collections. This role requires a proven sales professional in the fintech/payments industry, with an established track record of successfully selling payment gateway services to SMEs, corporates, and platform businesses.
The ideal candidate will leverage industry networks, market intelligence, and solution-selling expertise to identify opportunities, onboard merchants, and deliver sustainable transaction volumes for RexPay.

Primary duties & responsibilities
- Merchant Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and onboard new merchants and platforms requiring online/web collection solutions.
- Sales Target Delivery: Achieve monthly and quarterly acquisition and transaction volume targets.
- Market Penetration: Develop and execute strategies to enter targeted segments such as education, e-commerce, healthcare, and faith-based organizations.
- Solution Selling: Conduct needs assessments with prospects, presenting RexPay as the preferred payment gateway service.
- Partnership Development: Build strategic relationships with aggregators, SaaS providers, and marketplace operators to drive integration opportunities.
- Account Management: Provide post-onboarding support to ensure merchants go live, remain active, and increase transaction volumes.
- Reporting & Insights: Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and provide weekly reports on leads, conversions, and challenges.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor offerings and market trends to refine sales strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical, operations, and compliance teams to ensure seamless merchant onboarding and integration.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ direct sales experience in the fintech/payments industry.
- Proven track record of selling payment gateway services to merchants, corporates, or platforms.
- Strong network and relationships within target sectors (e-commerce, education, healthcare, Faith-Based organizations, aggregators, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed merchant acquisition and revenue targets.
- Experience with B2B solution selling, preferably in SaaS or online payment products.
- Knowledge of payment processing flows, online transaction lifecycles, and settlement models.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
